    Default Something I found

Just on a whim I put my son's name in goggle and was I ever surprized! His name is DeShane Burkhalter. If I wasn't patriotic before you can surely bet I am now. Pay attention to his age listed under his picture.

I also ENLISTED when I was 17 and never have regretted it.

The only thing I regretted is how our nation treated troops returning from the Nam...............

If the troops are treated the same way from Iraq, I'd have no trouble assisting in adjusting the attitude of the civilian population......

Althought I don't think it will happen enmass since the same liberal media that crucified Viet vets are now singing the praises of the (and righfully so) Iraqi vets.........................

Because it is politically correct to oppose the administration and they are lining up the Dems run for the WhiteHouse..................

Fox, thankyou and thank your son for his service.

Many of the returning troops are returning and running as Dems.

Right on! That is a good picture of him Foxy.

I'm just sitting here thinking that 17 isn't so far away for my son, so I feel you there. A mixture of pride and worry.

This same young man will turn 25 in June. He completed his time with the US Army and is now working taking care of his family. I just posted pics of them in the gallery. It wasn't easy raising him and his bother and 2 sisters alone but the results were well worth every tear and all of the frustration.

Don't matter if they run as a Dem since they have served "Honorably" and they are right for the job, I could vote for them.
